Although this was a 'hurried' shot and 'could do better'...I feel it is well worth a view as I've never seen this colouring in a Burnet before.

Would have been nice to have that clear image but it is worth the viewing. I have never seen one of these, plenty of the others but this is special. Where did you take it ?

Great to see it on here Jean, keep it up, and I think it's a good photo for a hurried shot.

As ever, thank you for the encouraging comments. Sometimes you just have to record the moment as best you can and hope you've got it before your subject 'up and runs' so to speak! Location was a wildflower meadow near to my home town, Newcastle under Lyme.

A grab-shot of something unusual like this Jean is definitely worth doing and showing. It had me puzzled for a spell until I realised that the colour red was missing and rather than melanistic (too much dark pigment) I think it might be the opposite of erthrystic (too much red) then again I may be talking out of the top of my hat again!!!!

Many thanks Pauline for all your help...just wished I'd grabbed a little better..lol! As far as I'm concerned, you can talk out of the top of your hat as much as you like if it solves a mystery ...you and Joan came to the rescue on this one for me. Well done girls!!

Lol!!!...no power station as far as I know. Maybe it's flown in from somewhere else, who knows?? But I'll keep an eye(or even two)on that Burnet meadow.
