I think I prefer my one off composed shot to the stack: the surroundings we could do nothing about - it was messy and bitty with mulch and dumped woodchip which was showing thro the soil ...

All brilliant shots, but this is the one for me Pauline - I don't know what it is, but there's just something about it that gives it the edge - might be the composition - or the quality of the light.

I don't know, but whatever it is this shot has it!

Thanks Mike - yes its this for me too - its more natural looking with the rear fungi just a tad short of in focus - the stacked image looks 'over cooked' to me! It help that I've resisted the urge to crop close too!!

Nice set of images Pauline but I'm with Mike on this one - best of the bunch.

I reckon it's the lighting that has really brought out the colours.
