I've been trying all summer to get one like that but without success....it's excellent/masterclass. Did you take it from some distance away?

Thanks for the comments.

I was trying to snap the birds flying in and out of water pipes on the river bank. I was on the bridge at St Ives, looking down; and also around and up at the martins hawking around. I think I was pretty much level with it when I took this shot - the only keeper from several!
