I was captivated by watching the darkening colour and strengthening of wings and deeply frustrated that it was all happening just out of reach ... so I leaned out as far as I could (with the hand strap firmly in place! I have form for dropping new cameras ... and this little pool is deep!) and used 'live view' which I could barely see now the sun had come back out ....
