I've just read (after seeing your pic) that the adult Naterjack is ~60-70mm in size and can live up to 15 years - so I assume this one is still very young?

Hi Bruce, yes, this is a very small and young toadlet. It would comfortably sit on the finger nail of your little finger. Dozens were leaving the breeding pond that was at high level following heavy rain and making for the dunes. Toadpoles were present, still with tails and the toadlet in the picture will have been an earlier developer. The characteristic dorsal golden line is a distinctive ID feature.

Oh yes so Cute!! I love these little froglets, i remember seeing so many of these bouncing around our garden pond when i was a child,so beautiful ..haha my mother would run a mile if she saw them (can't think why )
