Holding breath because it was in the garden a few feet from the window ... I'd had the second sight enough to get the camera ready with the 400 lens on but put it in the xexexexexexexe (big window view) the first I saw was it appearing in front of me as I worked on the laptop in the living room at 5am!!!

Thanks guys - this chap has just walked past the windows again this morning but there is a fence and demarcation rope on metal poles in the way .... lovely to see in a morning tho ...
