Church Ope Cove once used as a smugglers beach on the eastern side of Portland. This cove is over looked by the ruins of Rufus Castle.

This used to be my local beach when living on Portland and the geology around this cliff line is amazing I used to rock climb on these sea cliffs and found myself climbing through history on the continous sequence of Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous rock formations, climbing through a 185 million years of Earth's history.
