A very cold showery visit to a reserve where we have seen this species in the past: two folks were coming out with a camera and asked if we knew what marsh frits looked like and showed us a shot! Bingo and he said where it was sat - we spent a lot of time in awkward conditions photographing what we suspect was the butterfly out ....

Thanks Rob - a pity it all devolved down into only a week of good weather - I feel I;ve been robbed of the company of butterflies for a couple of years now ... I still think back to the late 90's sitting in a sheltered corner of Martin Down and the air was literally full - blatting with coloured wings - amazing .....
