Taken today during the reptile 'show and tell' sessions at Arne and our first sighting of this fantastic little lizard - what a beauty ...

Thanks John - shame it was in a vivarium (fish tank) instead of finding one live on the floor - but great to actually see one at long last! The weather down here in Dorset has been sooo cold it wasn't worth spending time even trying to look for these or snakes ....

Nice shot. So you are in my area, sorry about the weather but it is getting better. I should have been out with my camera looking for rare species of PMG's. Hope you had a good time and have you looked for Bag Moths ?

Searched ourselves stupid for live one's this aft at Arne in all the places the wardens told us to look: spent hours and much patience and saw one common lizard dashing off and despite diligence - zilch - nada ...... disappointing ....

The above was written in a hurry - should have said looking for wild lizards not live lizards - meaning free as opposed to this one in a tank just outside the centre doorway! (It was very much alive but captive and it didn't like it - I've no doubt as soon as the 'show and tell' sessions were done it was re-released) Not looked at moths this time rmc - can't find time or stay awake long enough!!!!
