Thanks Chris! I'm not quite that daft - I managed to park up and use the car as a hide but that meant that the traffic on the roundabout was between me and the bird. I had to shoot in the gaps between vehicles.

Oh hey this is a belter! We don't get them out in the open like this 'oop north' they are far more secretive - esp round Silverdale/Arnside - we hear the calls quite regularly - they are even at the top of the caravan site - but in all these years we've never had one down to the table - yet they feed on other folks tables in other parts of the country ....
