A couple of weeks back now - one I had overlooked from a day in Charlie's photographic hide ... once again the sparrowhawk declined my offer of wabby fame by not coming and perching ... it reserves its favours for 'goldenfingers' John T ....

Cracking shot Pauline. It's a bird I haven't seen for a good few years. There is a feeder on Gower where there are a couple of Tree Sparrows feed apparently, I am going to have to drag myself there for a couple of hours when the weather improves.

Your machine has developed a stutter!!!! Thanks for the comment(s)!! Thanks Peter and Wayne too ... no I don't think they are common anywhere - yet farmland is the likliest spot and there's plenty of that in Wales - but perhaps more sheep than agri/grown crops? They congregate round farms in our area during winter and at least one person has communal nesting boxes for them on her farm.
