Hi Jean

It might be worth checking the identification on the forum before posting in the gallery. Amanita fulva is in the subgenus that does not have a partial veil covering the gills (between the stem and the edge of the cap), so it does not have a ring or ring zone on the stem.

So this is not Amanita fulva. I'd think it would be a Psathyrella, but someone on the forum may have suggestions.

Hello Ken

Oh dear me...2nd time wrong for this one then, so it's got to be 3rd time lucky next time...I'll make sure!!! Thank you for the useful info.

I do use the forum and all have been extremely helpful regarding my postings but I did have one comment implying I should try to I.D more myself and not expect the forum to do it for me. That comment WASN'T helpful and I had tried to I.D before posting. So what is a 'newbie' supposed to do?!...just keep plodding and enjoying the journey is my answer to that

Regards,

Jean
