The first photo in the gallery of this species actually photographed in Britain. Not such a good image as it was taken just after dawn and I had to use a high ISO to get bit (1250)

Well done on capturing this bird John we have been ware that it has been in the area for over a week now but not seen it yet so thanks for the photo see what a spanish sparrow looks like! You were so close to us you should have called in for cup tea!

Hi Linda

We were extremely tight on time as we had a lot of miles to drive, not only to the sites we had to visit but the final mileage back home that we didn't have any spare time to call in anywhere. Thanks for the offer though. I will have to remember that the next time I am down your way.
