Lovely to see this too but sad for the trees, Honey fungus is usually the death knell for trees.

Not the best of shots but I love the way it trailed up the hill...and I've never seen so many...like an army of marching Ants. Apparently, there was a topic about this on this week's Gardeners Question Time(so big Bro' tells me!), they said a tree that has been invaded by Honey Fungus would already be a 'sickly' tree for some reason and therefore the reason for the invasion by the fungus....??? I always thought the reverse.......anyway, I'll go back this year and try to catch it when its 'fresh' and not so tired looking!
