What tree was it on? Is it coniferous?, as it looks a bit like Birch? if it is with deciduous trees that's very interesting, as all the records in the BMS database are with Pine or Picea, and Dennis says "On litter in coniferous woods"

Its a white birch (Betula pubescens).
