Wow! That is one very fine shot of a hard bird to find, let alone photograph.

How long can they be expected to remain on Shetland please?

There have been quite a lot of them around for a couple of weeks now. Last year there were a few here until January. Not having many trees here probably helps in spotting them :-)

Thanks guys - I was very lucky to get this one in the open. I went back today and there were two concealed in amongst the bushes. My sister saw 4 together at a different location early this morning!
