A very old Tulip tree in full autumn colours. The tree is also learning towards the River Trent and in danger of collapsing into it.

It's had some good work done to it in the past, much better balanced now. The rotting basal cavity might cause its demise. Lovely tree and colour at this time of year.

My photograph doesn't really do it justice, the colours at the time were stunning. It is a majestic tree but I don't think it would be advisable to give it a hug. Long may it stay vertical, I would hate to see it heading for a swim!
