Back we went to the hide yesterday at 7.30am prepared to wait out the day till the bird came or it went dark ........ one of its first visits was to the willows way out to the left of the viewing slots. Thinking that a) it looked good there and I could do something with it later and b) it might be the only shots I got - I took a series in the trees and then worked the background - again verging on a painting .......

Thanks guys: its come out very dark - perhaps folks with laptops will be able to move the lid screen and have a better view? I keep forgetting to lighten before uploading ........... brains of Britain!!!

Like it very much Pauline, as for painting...... to me it was akin to those Japanese silk paintings with a few bamboo leafs and twigs..... great shot indeed.
