We were tipped the wink that a kingfisher was posing occasionally for those with patience (thats me then!) The dull conditions has led me to an artistic production of the final image and a deliberate 'arty efffect' treatment of the branch!

Lovely image Pauline. Never mind the dull weather, it still works for me.

Thanks guys: sorry the dodgy magpie has bitten the dust so quickly - it was only the distance travelling involved that stopped us - we both made the comment that doing photography close to home today was nice and made a change! And I do like 'arty shots' when they lend themselves to the treatment ........

Brilliant image Pauline, even with the conditions against you, you have managed to turn out a real beaut of a shot, well done.

Thanks again guys: yes Mark I'm sure you have sat in front of it before too - its five mins from home for us! And Jules that very thought crossed my mind but I've done not a thing about it - plus Steve Halliwell has pencilled my name in for a lecture (which doesn't exist) in spring 2013! Ooh err missus ....... !!

Beautiful - It should be made into a painting - or at the very least a large canvas type print for mounting on your wall!!

Regards, Mike.
