The Woodman Knight Commander of the Wild Empire Registered: December 2006 Location: Cumbria, on the southern boundary of the Lake District National Park. Posts: 5,992	A Lime Kiln in good condition near the head of the Longsleddale valley. A small outcrop of Coniston limestone in the native Silurian slate was burnt here to produce lime for agriculture and the building trade.
