Good close up of a spider that seems to be everywhere now.Has anyone else noticed their increase?ww

They do seem to have spread rapidly over about the last decade. I nearly always see them in public toilets!

I remember once when I was a student on a field course, sitting awake in bed at the youth hostel, watching half terrified as one of these spiders caught, killed and ate a rather large house spider (Tegenaria) . I gained a lot more respect for this species that night.
