Thanks P. I was determined to get decent shots as it was the first time I'd seen this species. I wasn't even sure what it was at the time but knew it wasn't any of my usual brown spotted jobs.

My thoughts exactly Deb! It was one of my goals for the year to see and photograph some new species of butterfly and I was delighted to find these. They turned out to be quite common and I saw them in lots of places, including Durness right up on the far north coast.
