Nice one John, lovely and sharp and clean background.



I know these are pretty common but if you view your image in high res (open image then click on image again) it really shows the colours off well. I love these (butterflies) especially the contrast of the blue cresents along the wing edges with orange. Shame they seem to be in a decline at present due to Sturmia bella (parasitic fly).

This shot was taken out in the countryside and is one of only a few I've seen so far this year. I have yet to see any 'colourful butterflies' in our garden even although we have many flowering plants including Buddleias.

Normally we have many flying around.
