Field Cowwheat, locally known as ‘poverty weed’, was once so common men were employed to pull it out and burn it to prevent its seeds tainting the crop.

Now found only at a few sites on the Island.

Oh WOW! This is one that I've longed to see - nice pic - impressive plant! We searched somewhere years ago (I can't remember where) but a site that had Crested CW supposedly beside the road - we didn't find it!
