Information
Description: 

A buff coloured fungus, often with a rosy tinge that exudes milk from the gills and is found in broadleaf wooodland with Beech.

Distribution: 

Occasional from Summer till Autumn.

Habitat: 

Broadleaf woodland with Beech.

Cap: 

Convex initially then flattened with a central funnel-shaped depression and an incurved margin when young, buff, often pale with a rosy tinge.

Flesh: 

The flesh is firm, white to buff coloured.

Gills: 

Slightly decurrent,crowded, pale rosy buff to yellowish-buff.

Stem: 

More or less equal, slightly tapering towards the base, whitish or concolorous with the cap.

Additional Notes: 

Edible only when cooked.
