The Long-tailed blue is one of the commonest butterflies in the world, however it is a very rare migrant to Britain. It has false eyes at the base of it's long tails which give a head and antenna impression.
Distribution: 
Rare visitor in southern England.
Habitat: 
Rough flowery grassland.
