A tiny, pure white fungus with a fringed cup found clustered on rotting wood and woody debris.
Common from early Spring till Summer.
In broadleaf and coniferous woodland.
The fruitbody, which is cup shaped has an upper surface that is pure white or cream tinged, while the lower surface and margin are densely white and hairy.
The flesh is concolorous.
Extremely short white stem.
Inedible.
