A beautiful member of the gull family, slightly built and resembling a Common Gull, although adults have all black wingtips and their flight is noticably lighter and more elegant than the Common Gull, Legs black and rather short,
It's call , Can also be confused with Sabines Gull
Distribution
Breeds on the Atlantic coast and round the coastline of the British Isles, Ireland, Iceland and the Norweigian coastline, anywhere rocky, on the precipices of bird colonies such as the Bass Rock in the mouth of the Firth of Forth, The May Isle , six miles off the coast of Fife , Where this photograph was taken,
