A small yellow fungus with a viscid cap that is found growing on soil amongst short, mown or cropped grassland, preferring dry meadows.
Convex, flattening with age, viscid, especially when young, pallid lemon-yellow or orange-yellow, striate from the margin.
Cap flesh is thin and yellow or orange-yellow, stem flesh is hollow and yellow. Odour unpleasant, taste not distinctive.
Adnate or emarginate, broad, close, pale yellow with an orange tinge.
Slender, dry, more or less equal, yellow or orange-yellow, may be slightly paler towards the apex.
Frequent from late Summer till Autumn.
Grassland and meadows preferring cropped, short or mown grass.
Inedible.
