Description: 

A bright golden-yellow club-like fungus that grows either solitary or in groups in the soil of mixed woodlands.

Distribution: 

Infrequent from Summer til late Autumn.

Habitat: 

Mixed woodland.

Cap: 

The fruitbody is bright golden-yellow to orange-yellow in colour, club-shaped, unbranched, rounded or laterally compressed and grooved, tips are blunt.

Flesh: 

Soft and yellow.

Stem: 

See cap.

Additional Notes: 

Inedible.
