Osmeterium

A reddish, foul smelling, fork-shaped organ of some larvae that pops out from behind the head and is used to startle and deter predators.

Oviposit

To lay one or more eggs.

Ovipositor

A pair of pillow-shaped structures situated on the tip of the female butterfly's abdomen that extrude the eggs.
