Description: 

A brown and white cup found growing on soil in troops or on very rotten wood.

Distribution: 

Frequent from late Summer till utumn.

Habitat: 

On soil or rotting wood.

Cap: 

Fruitbody is cup-shaped with the upper surface greyish-white and smooth, the outer, lower surface is concolorous, and densely covered with stiff, septate, dark-brown pointed hairs.

Flesh: 

Thin, white and brittle.

Additional Notes: 

Inedible.
