Similar in appearance to the Brown Argus but lacks the orange spots. An accidental introduction that was observed for a period in the 1990s near Lewes in Sussex. the butterfly originates from South Africa but has now become established in areas in south-easter europe. Food plants are Peligoniums and wild geranium. Whilst it is unlikey that this species will become permanently established in the UK its appearance here does show that it could be possible that other accidentally introducedspecies could be found.
