| | | BWPA Books. I've just started to get into the BWPA (British Wildlife Photography Awards) portfolios and have obtained Collection 1.
I've been looking to obtain collection 2, but am confronted with what appears to be 2 different versions, the first with a dust jacket depicting a Kingfisher, the second with a dust jacket depicting Puffins (which seems to be an image out of collection 1?).
Can anyone advise which is the correct edition, and why the confusion (at least from my point of view)?

| | | Re: BWPA Books. Hi, I have searched for a copy with the puffin cover, but without luck?
I have to say I looked at collection 2 (kingfisher cover) and its great! i would go with the kingfisher version. You can get it for £15 via amazon which is £10 cheaper than the RRP.
Sorry I can't help more. |

| | | Re: BWPA Books. I seem to remember the same thing happened with Collection 1 which also had two versions of the cover advertised on-line before it was eventually published. I imagine it was just for illustration purposes before they'd finalised which cover to use.

| | | Re: BWPA Books. Rog is spot on! The puffin cover was advertised before they'd announced any of the winning images so they used a picture from the previous year for illustration purposes. As far as I'm aware only the kingfisher cover actually exists and if you order the puffin you'll get the kingfisher.

Dave P. | Sadly the final version also has that photo of a cricket next to Nick Baker's foreword |

| | | Re: BWPA Books. Thank you all for your time.
The explanation makes perfect sense, and, given the use of an image out of collection 1 on the (so called) cover of collection 2 maybe should have occured to me earlier.
I'll get collection 2 ordered as soon as poss!
p.s. UKwildlifeo, what significance is there to the photo of a Cricket? Is it a comment for 'those in the know'?
