| | | Calke park deer I was thinking of going to Calke park to photograph the deer. I an a bit worried if there are going to be any fences between us and the deer. |

| | | Re: Calke park deer Hi - not sure if you have had a response, if not - herewith - the fence round the deer park has a large (6" or more) mesh so getting big lenses through is not a problem. You can walk round much of the fencing so can get closer to the deer & get a variety of views.
The wardens do a monthly walk into the deer park (usually 1st Thurs of month) which lets you get closer & with no fence in the way - but this is very popular so you may have to book.
This year it is hoped that the Park Guides (volunteers) will also be taking short guided walks into the deer park - I understand that details will shortly be on the website - again these are likely to be popular & restricted numbers - but possibly every day that the guides are on duty (currently most Thurs - Sat + some shool holidays)
Hope this helps. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
