| | | Re: Best Equipment I was photographing adders earlier in the year with a well known and respected professional wildlife photographer (he's been published in over 40 different newspapers and magazines worldwide).
He preferred to shoot at his chosen settings and I stuck to mine. Only the comparison of both our images back at home on the PC revealed that I was right to choose the settings I normally use for this subject. He was shooting with a Canon 1D and was also against the use of high ISOs. I think many people that have been into photography for a long time tend to feel this way but things are moving onwards and the option of higher ISO use is a very useful tool that I personally feel we should consider embracing more often. I'm not suggesting that you are old though mate!  lol

Here's a funny thing: When I was asked to do a talk at my local reserve, as part of it I picked a baker's dozen of my favourite images. Two out of thirteen were shot at ISO 800. I was quite surprised by that.
