My first kingfisher pics

Went over to my favourite nature reserve today and was very lucky to get this beauty, they are not the best pics and the sun went in as he turned up(thats my excuse and i am sticking to it) but i was just so chuffed to get them in the first place,ive only managed to get a reference shot recently in june.

i managed to get a pic of a green finch ive heard that they have been having a rough time of late i think that they are gorgeous birds and that bold green colour they display is something else,

and a little reed warbler that surprised me by landing right above me i always thought these birds were shy

Thanks Artdemole and Nige,

People were laughing at me as i was talking to him(Mr fisher) but it helped to keep me calm and not get to excited as to spook him and he stayed there for quite a while, he caught us completly by surprise, usualy there is a flash of blue as they fly across the mere to signal that they are in the area but he just popped up from knowhere,

Congrats and welldone on getting the kingfisher nice photos I know that amazing feeling when you click the shutter on this wonderful bird and believe me it never stops for every shot in the future too.

And yes the addiction has truly kicked in, i could not get over how majestic he looked sitting there all proud, but then again if i was displaying his colours i would be proud,
