Another nice one

As asked above, did you feel the tripod helped? I always tend to be ok without one if I'm pretty close (like with my garden birds) or have good light as I'm not at the full extent of my zoom or have enough shutter speed. If it's overcast (like most days) or I'm stretching for reach then the tripod helps a little, but not with the little birds so much as they move so darned fast! Without the shutter speed I feel they end up a bit soft most times

Yes I find the tripod helps alot, as I shoot with a Prime lense I have a constant focal length of 420mm as the teleconverter is attached, lens is 300mm F4.

So without and support I'd be hopeless, as any slight movement would give blurry shots.

Plus handholdnig a 3kg rig isn't good either lol
