| | | Female Redstart with food spent 2-3 days with the female and male watching them taking food to the nest.
I binned lots of shots off and stuck with only the ones I really like - this was one of the female shots I liked, I do hope you like as much as I do

| | | Re: Female Redstart with food Superb shot, well done.
I saw a lot of these in Derbyshire last week but didn't take the right lens with me, so no pictures!

| | | Re: Female Redstart with food Nice capture. Thanks for the exif. I'm binning my g2, been offered a used EOS 500D with a couple of lenses for nowt. Hopefully I'll have the range and sensor size to start pulling off these kinds of shot. Green, I am, green with envy.
Regards

| | | Re: Female Redstart with food I was told an 18-55mm IS kit lens and a 300 f4 L series that's all I know. I think I may have lucked out! Lol. Just hope I can manage the weight.
Cheers

| | | Re: Female Redstart with food Very nice shot.
And operanut, forget about which body you are using the Canon 300f4L lens is fantastic for these birds and many others.
It is my lens of choice over all other canon lenses for BIF shots due to its light weight. |

| | | Re: Female Redstart with food Cheers Foz,
I shoot with a panasonic g2 at the moment so being offered a canon body is great, I'm not too worried about the body as I know it is the glass that makes the shot. Also glad to hear the 300f4L is light weight, it needs to be to contend with the body, lens & my wheelchair! It should be arriving early next week. I love older relatives who buy, try and can't get on with things, especially if they pass things on to me! Lol
Hope to get some shots under my belt with it fairly soon, but gonna take a while for me to learn the system.

| | | Re: Female Redstart with food Nice shot djaphoto - such a clean background, really helps to make the bird stand out in the shot.
And Opnut72, you lucky man! Not jealous at all lol... |

| | | Re: Female Redstart with food Cheers GME,
I'm sure you'll get over your jealousy. But in the meantime, I'm going to be binning shots more than keeping for a long time I suspect. So that should temper your green tinge. Lol
