| | | Differernt Lens, what a difference (Swift pics) Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, if not please move
Last year was my first attempt at taking pictures of Swifts, to start with I just got blue sky, then a bit of tail, then a blurred image, but by the time they left I'd managed to get a few pics I was quite pleased with. Well now my Swifts are back and looking to nest in the eves of houses just down the road again, so while I was killing time this morning I got the camera out to see if I'd remembered what I'd learnt last year and I pretty much had, I was using the Tamron 70-300mm kit lens that came with my Nikon D5000 in auto focus (I've never been able to master manual focus yet) and was pretty pleased with the results for the first attempt this year, then I had a bit of a brain wave, I take a lot of pictures of dogs doing agility but have to use my Nikon DX 55-200ml lens for that as the focusing is quicker and the amount of shot per second seems to be more as well, so I put my 55-200mm lens on but only had a few minutes to take some shots, basically it was point and shoot, but wow what a difference, I can't believe how much better the picture quality is, why oh why didn't I do that before.
Can't you just tell I know nothing about photography

Nice capture by the way. And as you say a big improvement.
