Would have liked to enter, but as has already been said the standard is very high and I just don't have anything unique enough at the minute! Did try to get our dog to jump over a gate but she bu**ered off back into the house

I entered the young wildlife photographer of the year again this year and I have one image in the final round of judging, just keeping my fingers crossed now!!

Are there any rules as to when your photograph was taken in any of the competitions. eg. If you enter wpoty 2011,does your photo have to be taken in the year 2011 ,if not how far back will be accepted.I realise i could read through the rules,but thought someone may know without me trawling the net and rules .

Not sure about WPotY but the BWPA place no restrictions on when images were taken.

The WPOTY states the image must be taken within 3 years of the competition.
