| I'll do you a swap: I'll take you to the snow buntings in January - we'll do Salthouse in the morning and Titchwell in the afternoon - and you can help me with more "underwater" shots. I definitely want to take a crack at some marine life too but am happy to start with fresh water.
My top target for next year is osprey. I've now got confirmation of a week's volunteer placement at Loch Garten starting 6th August so I should be in with a good chance. I'd love to get more red squirrel shots and some crested tit and Scottish crossbills while I'm there.
My second target is diving gannets. Number 1 on the "Nature's Top 40" list and number 1 on my list, too! I'm going to set off from home on the Wednesday before my osprey week starts and do a trip to Bass Rock on the Thursday. If the weather's rough I can stick around until Friday and if it's still rough I can try again on the homeward journey.

On a serious note a hunting Barn Owl would do to start with |

| | | Re: Photographic goals for next year For me it is to find a new excuse which gets me out of the house at weekends to take photos. Last year's excuse now has no problem getting to sleep so I can't use "the baby won't stop crying let me take him out and you can get more sleep" usually followed by "have you seen where I put my batteries?"
One a serious note three challenges:
Get out more (it surprises me how difficult it can be sometimes);
Learn the camera (still think of it as new despite having had it since June);
Take a photo of my local hornbeam wood which distills the essence of the place onto an image and does the beauty of the place some justice (I currently can't see the picture for the trees). |
