As I recall when we last visited the subject stu was looking for some software which would allow us to control and anonymise the voting and also for ways of having better prizes , and to make administering such a competion less work for those involved behind the scenes. I'm afraid that happens on most forums and is one of the reasons I don't enter.

| | | Re: Monthly competition- an idea This is a great idea, the only problem I would say with categorising is how wiould you know, in a general sense (obvious long shots and ultra macros not included) whether the shot has come from a DSLR or compact? I think Exif data would be a definate requirement but would that be enough? |

| | | Re: Monthly competition- an idea I'm not sure why you would need to - a good pic is a good pic regardless of what took it - i have seen plenty of good shots taken with compacts and plenty oif dire ones taken with slr equipment
