| | | Re: Views on Sigma 135 - 400 please Well, how this thread has changed
I now have the Sigma 17 - 70 macro lens. Its a fine lens and hopefully when the sun shines I can take some decent images for the site.
The original Sigma 125 - 400 lens I first looked at, very quickly became the Bigma .... I blame Graham for this Hopefully I should have this for spring .... YES YES!
This then brought up further expense re ... a monopod, suitable head and other bits such as filters
Again I must thank everyone, especially Graham and Andrew for their help. Oh, and I need a bag to carry my gear plus other essentials such as a thermos, sandwiches, specimen (fungi) container, extra clothing etc. I'm looking at either lowepro or tamrac here.
Some will no doubt be wondering what this crazy fungi bloke wants with this equipment ... when he has the best fungi camera available ... yes its still the Olympus C8080
Well, after being a member of WAB for 10 months and seeing all the excellent photographs other than fungi ... I want a piece of that action too
I may be asking lots of questions in the future ... Like, how do you "pan" a bird ... is that similar to roasting a Duck
Thanks all

I know where to find Chicken of the Woods and now I have my new fungi knife (complete with brush and comb )
I'm submitting a similar guide for photographing fungi into the reference section in the near future (Yes, I know I promised this a while ago but I've been busy with the book I'm writing with Neil ... hopefully out for August this year )
Are you putting your info sheet into the reference area?
I'll pm you anyway Pete and many thanks. |
