i am looking for a good quality light but sturdy tripod
suitable for a digital bridge camera!
whats out there people?

There are lots of good names out there, but from bitter
experience, the most important part is the top not
the legs.

Plastic tops may feel smooth and lack all wobble in the
shops, but they don't stay like that!! Make sure your
pan and tilt is metal - unsurprisingly this will cost you more!

Good robust legs are nice, but not much help is the
top end moves when you hand comes of ;-)

Look through previous threads on the subject ,buy the best you can,you could upgrade
to a DSLR and already owning a good tripod will save you money(I assume you have a
300mm zoom or similar on the bridge camera)
