| | | Woodland Trust Volunteer Photographers Hi all,
I have an application in with the trust for this but, how shall I phrase this, I've not been overly impressed so far.
Does anyone here have any experience with this they could share? Happy if it's a PM rather than open post.
I'd really like to use my pictures in this type of way, a great way to "donate" to a charity.
Thanks in advance

| | | Re: Woodland Trust Volunteer Photographers I supply pictures to the woodland trust but through James Luxton, the local people engagement officer rather than through the volunteer photographer scheme. I've never got round to filling in the forms and sending them off.

| | | Re: Woodland Trust Volunteer Photographers Hey Mike,
I remember you mentioning that when we met up - can't remember exactly when that was but I had put in my application then..and it still isn't sorted - which is what has prompted my question.
Looking forward to Brede High Woods explosion of macro subjects very soon

| | | Re: Woodland Trust Volunteer Photographers If you can make it out to Brede on the 8th May I can introduce you to James at the open day. We're putting on a small display of pictures for the open day as well so if you've got any printed that you like you could bring some along.

| | | Re: Woodland Trust Volunteer Photographers Hi there
Toby - I'm the volunteering development manager at the Woodland Trust, I'll talk to the picture library on Monday and see what has happened to your application. I do know that they had a big influx of registrations in the last couple of weeks, which is quite unprecedented.
Mike - just one point have you completed the licencing forms for the images you have supplied to James? As we are unable to use them for anything realy worthwhile without written permission. images in our library get used in our publications, on our Christmas cards and on our website.
By the way are you aware of our 2011 calendar photography competition? European year of the volunteer 2011 Woodland Trust photography competition
Anyway, I'll pick it up on Monday when I get in the office. |

| | | Re: Woodland Trust Volunteer Photographers I post my images to Flickr and James has a check on there for any that are suitable. He then asks for copies of the ones that he wants and I e-mail higher res copies over with permission to use them in the e-mail. It's generally for publicity after events at Brede or to publicise future events like the bluebell walk I'm leading on the 25th April. I also upload quite a few to the Brede and Guestling microsites.

| | | Re: Woodland Trust Volunteer Photographers Daphne,
Thanks for your response. I did get in touch with the library at the end of last week and was advised there had been resource issues. I'll mail back tonight.
Mike - Thanks for the heads up on the open day - I'll try to make it. Can you PM me any times etc? Thanks in advance.

| | | Re: Woodland Trust Volunteer Photographers I'd completely forgotten that I had sent the forms off and the final bit of paper to sign arrived yesterday. Just got to send that off and I'm on the scheme.
