| | | Re: Canon 500mm - Wimberley Head If you haven't got it yet, or for future refence for other people, the Manfrotto 393 is a great tripod head for a long lens. Not quite as elegant or user-friendly as a Wimberley, but good value at about £100. It suspends the lens in a similar way, but is formed from two U-shaped pieced of metal joined at the tips of the "U", rather than a single arm like the Wimberley. |
