Not at all, I don't feel misled by you at all. You have given some good information and advice, so thanks for that.
I will be in the UK next week, so looking forward to getting my hands on a few DSLR's to see how they feel and handle
Cheers, Paul |

Advice from me might not be as good as advice from somebody who has experience, but It's not to be considered worthless. I do my research before posting.
I used to start most replies on threads like this with a prefix of 'I haven't used 'X equipment', but I gather from other people/sources that:' or something to that effect, but I seem to have stopped doing that. Maybe I should start again posting like that to make it clear.
Sorry if I misled anyone | Hi Squishy,
Thank you for the clarification.
You certainly must do a lot of research and read a lot of reviews as you never fail to provide advice when requested.
Nothing wrong with that 'good advice' is always very helpful.

| | | Re: Pentax K-x I currently use a Pentax K10D and I'm generally pretty happy with it, particularly the build quality.
The only area where it falls down is in its low light performance and, unless you've got an expensive, fast, lens that's a real drawback - particularly with the overcast British weather and also if you do a lot of photography in woodland.
All the reviews and user comments indicate that the K-x is one of the best cameras in it's class currently on the market in this respect so if you are into the type of photography where low light is 'normal' this choice would certainly tick all the boxes.
Goodness... I've almost talked myself into getting one!!! |

| | | Re: Pentax K-x Thanks Martyn that is useful information. I had a long chat with one of the TWP professional photographers on Monday that uses a Canon 7D and she emphasised the importance of low level light capability. when she was on a shoot photographing stags during the rut, light was great at the start of the day, but when the action started mist rolled in which lowered the light level dramatically. She said her 7D coped very well with it, but the 7D is in a completely different price bracket
Good to hear the K-x can hold it's own!
Thanks again,
