| | | Re: Midlands Wildlife Photography Group Hi All
Thanks to all for joining the group. It looks like we all have the same idea in getting away from the photography club meeting and getting down to wild life photography in the field. I agree travel will be an issue but keeping it in the Midlands should not be to bad I hope. We can of course car share where we can.
OK I am sorry about the confusion on where to find the social group but we are there now. I think the purpose of the group is that we can communicate amongst our selves so I will start posting messages on the group page.
I will put some ideas over the weekend on the group page on how I think it can work but of course open to all ideas.
See you all on the Midlands Photographic page.

| | | Re: Midlands Wildlife Photography Group Steve, as far as I can tell I am a group member, but when I visit the group page I can only see two old messages. This means one of two things.
1. I am a bit too stupid to be a member of a group or
2. nothing has been posted.
Also can you tell me what benefits we get from hiding ourselves away in a group rather than just running the show in full view in the regular forums?

| | | Re: Midlands Wildlife Photography Group Hi Guys, what’s up!!!!!
The last post from StephenD on this forum was 16th Jan, therefore one can assume that this group is stagnant.
Are people still up for a meet somewhere in the West Midlands, I could kick off with a spring woodland/flower day in Warwickshire it would have to be a Saturday or Sunday, possibly 1st or 2nd May.
If anyone is interested just let me know, I will be driving from south Birmingham if anyone needs a lift.

| | | Re: Midlands Wildlife Photography Group Hi Fuzzy Felt Bloke,
Thanks for the private message. I'm sorry that I won't be able to make those days as I will be packing for my Outer Herides trip.
Is it just me or can anyone see a point to having a group outside of the ordinary forums. It appears to be much more difficult to keep up to date and also seems to be quite exclusive unless you are already in the group.

I have just found your wildlife group, I am passionate about wildlife and do try to photograph what I can, I would love to be part of your group. I live near Wolverhampton.

| | | An East Anglian Perspective Seems a great idea to me, but would outsiders be able to come on an ad hoc basis?
I have periodic need to go to both Oxford and West London and could happily include such meets in my itinerary.
Also
It would be much easier to follow your activities if you just used a thread in the Meetings forum.
I follow most of WAB by email alerts for fora in which I am interested, rather than 'surfing' - I find that far too slow and find I get sidetracked through my own indiscipline. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
