| | | Rainy Days This year I'm determined not to let the rain keep me in the house, so what do you guys do to protect your cameras in the rain (I have an SLR that won't fit in my pocket!), whilst keeping them available to use?
And, who can suggest some good subjects or locations for rainy days (especially in and around West Yorkshire).
cheers
Dan

this is pretty much the ultimate in rain capes for an slr even detering salt spray in abundance but the downside is that it isnt cheap - if you are only out in the rain occasionally you might be better off improvising a cover out of a large clear ziploc plastic bag - or just keeping your SLR tucked down the front of your jacket - most slrs are relatively rain resistant so long as you wipe it off before you put it away and stay away from salt water.

| | | Re: Rainy Days I always carry a plastic bag with me. A small pedal bin liner is ideal, then if it starts to rain I just slip it over the dslr and lens and secure it with a large elastic band. Cheap enough and lasts a good few weeks before it needs replacing. It's also small enough to fit in a pocket or camera bag.
Can't suggest any places for rainy days in Yorkshire though.

| | | Re: Rainy Days There's some useful suggestions here, I think the bin liner and elastic band sounds favourite, most of the purpose made options I've seen wouldn't easily slip into a space in the camera bag or the pocket of a pair of jeans.
Waterfalls, yes, that sounds good and as for Gargoyles, they run around when you're not looking you know.
